Toyhouse How to Let Someone Else Upload Art on My Oc
what are your thoughts on someone uploading art directly to your graphic symbol'southward gallery themselves? perchance for a forum game, art trade, commission, etc. i presume people are generally open up to getting art and you can only delete information technology if you lot really hate it, but if you haven't really discussed it i tin imagine it might feel awkward. is it something y'all similar or dislike?
I absoutely hate it. Toyhouse doesn't enable you to view the art earlier accepting information technology, and then seeing errors and reporting them is so...not comfortable.
And yes, FRAT-RAT people practise that. And it sucks ass.
I'm personally non a fan of it myself. Information technology doesn't bother me too much when it happens, but I'd like to be able to run across the image before accepting information technology (which Th doesn't let you lot practice smh). Plus I accept a very specific fashion of uploading images, and I want them all to exist consistent. If some other user submits to my character'south gallery, I have to become through a few actress steps and then that the image is uploaded how I'd like it to be (watermarked and with a annotate/ clarification on its worth/ how it was received).
Not only that, merely in one case the image is in my character'southward gallery, I sometimes forget to save it (for backup). I like having all of my images saved for fill-in, and then I usually save the prototype first then upload to the gallery when I'g able to, only if information technology's already in the gallery, I simply automatically assume I've already saved it (when I didn't).
Although it might seem user-friendly, I observe information technology besides inconvenient for me to have users upload images directly to my character'south gallery. ;;;;
I upload direct if I'k doing art games since people don't always remember to bank check the thread, peculiarly if information technology's been a while, simply for commissions, I'd rather let people upload things how they like.
I don't intendance either style myself if I'm receiving information technology, tbh.
i find it weird that people automatically assume that "uploading it on th" means they dont send it via DMs also for yous to approve and save?????
When I get commissioned to draw for someone and I know their toyhouse I will upload to their gallery myself as soo as they say they liked it in DMs. Kinda makes me feel like they are less likely to edit or miscredit my stuff that style (the pics will also get my watermark instead of their'southward but that not that of import to me. Also i know they tin can just accept it down and do all the bad stuff behind my dorsum simply still)
Angry_Goose look people straight up put "fine art by me" watermarks on stuff they didn't draw on here? (I've seen "art vest to me" WM merely not those ) Kinda makes me want to upload things on my ain more than (even if yet over again they prob tin can change that later). I dont really wanna put a watermark directly on my slice (i like letting authorized viewer come across a watermark-free version of my art) but putting "fine art by me" watermarks on someone else'due south stuff is highkey rude :/
I'll admit I'chiliad not the biggest fan, mostly due to the points others have already brought up before. I personally don't trust the Th servers to host my images indefinitely (let'southward exist honest, images break often), and would actually prefer for the images to be sent directly to me to approve and save to my figurer. (I also accept a specific mode of sorting / various sub-galleries that I'd like to manage myself, without having the hassle of going and editing the epitome sorting, which oftentimes breaks every image in that sub-galley.) At the very least, if you insist on uploading it yourself, please send it to the person before so they can approve that the concluding image is fine, especially if its a commission.
I don't mind it that much. Although in that location is ane matter that bothers me; I don't like how you're not able to encounter the image unless yous accept information technology. I'chiliad not sure what information technology looks like, which is frustrating imo considering I'd like to see what the epitome looks like before I really add it to my character's gallery.
the other thing is when someone uploads the image with their watermark on it, which I ordinarily wouldn't mind but if the watermark is noticeably big and covers a lot of the art then you tin can barely see what'south underneath. peculiarly if it'south a ref or something, i prefer to have my character'southward refs not watermarked so people tin can utilize them easily.
